Founders Dallas and Rich have been friends for more than 19 years. For years, they talked about starting a landscape company together, one built around exceptional design, premium craftsmanship, and a better experience for homeowners. When Rich was laid off from his corporate job, they decided it was time to turn that vision into reality. That decision became Prolific Landscape Design.

From the beginning, the goal was never to be just another contractor. Dallas and Rich had seen too much of what gives the industry a bad reputation: poor communication, weak craftsmanship, and projects built without real design vision. What stood out most was the poor execution behind so many hardscape projects. They saw patios and paved spaces built on shortcuts, with weak base preparation and methods that led to settling, shifting, and failure far sooner than they should.

That was the moment they knew there was room and a real need for a different kind of company.
